East Coast Biker Chicks is an all female Motorcycle Club for women 21 years and older. We are not prejudice to make or model of motorcycle. ECBA was founded by Cookie Belcamino in Boston, MA in February 2003 and has grown to include members in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania. ECBC provides new opportunities for women in many areas to "Become A Chick For Life"
East Coast Biker Chicks PA Chapter was formed in February 2007 by Pat Gallacher after meeting and riding with Cookie and the ECBC Boston Chicks. In ECBC NEPA's inagural riding season members participated in charity rides oragnized by several area groups including Rolling Thunder, Ride for Diane, POW/MIA Friends of the Forgotten, and Luzurne County SPCA just to name a few. Throughour the riding season we made many friends and had many good time at area rides, bike nights, and bike shows and we lok forward to many more to come!
ECBC NEPA selected the Women's Resource Center as the recipient of our charitable contributions. The Women's Resource Center's mission is to provide programs and services that support and uphold the principle that women have the right to choose and maintain a life free from oppression and violence. The Women's Resource Center supports a feminist philosophy which places a high value on the individuality and equality of women and all persons, and is committed to enhancing the dignity, self-worth and self-confidence of women. The Women's Resource Center seeks to respond to and actively change the prevalence of domestic and sexual violence. Services are offered regardless of age, race, country of origin, marital status, ethnicity, gender, income, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, and mental and physical ability.
